Blue Northern Energy Acquires Quicksilver Biodiesel Technology
Blue Northern Energy is revitalizing the biodiesel market. BNE's objective is to produce a sustainable and successful biofuel production market throughout the United States. BNE combines the newest innovation advances, refining procedures and ingenious minds to establish sustainable and profitable biodiesel production centers. BNE supplies guidance and services to services and communities in their endeavors to develop new biodiesel production centers or retrofitting existing centers to make them sustainable and lucrative. Through its work and proficiency BNE, identifies itself as the leader in the renewable resource field.
Blue Northern Energy (BNE) has acquired an unique innovation for producing biodiesel fuel. The Quicksilver Biodiesel Technology (QSB) is a continuous biodiesel production process by the trans-esterification of veggie oils. Multiple feedstocks may be used, permitting the most affordable cost feedstocks to be utilized. The capability to modify the procedure continuously, as the feedstocks change by modulating the other reactants to the process rather than altering batch recipes, makes it a highly versatile and more effective process. The procedure also allows a decrease in capital cost of up to 40% and a reduction in operating expense through lower energy expense of approximately 30%. These benefits of the innovation have been verified through a 3rd completed by the Center for Process Innovation.
The QSB technology has been extensively tested at the pilot plant in Budapest, Hungary. Feedstocks from Europe in addition to the USA have been shown, both individually as well as blends.
Developing and improving the technology is a high concern for BNE, and essential to our worldwide growth plans. In order to support this, BNE will be developing a new Innovation Center situated beside the first biodiesel plant in Newton, Illinois. The center will have the capability to demonstrate future feedstock processing and perform extensive fuel quality measurements for BNE plants and experimental samples.
It is the administrator of the BN National Trail center from conceptualization, development, building and construction to management. This facility exhibits the revolutionary technology of BNE and production process that used multiple crops, edible and non-edible, for sustainable, high quality and lucrative biodiesel production.
BNE's staff will increase to support this technology program. A senior chemical process specialist will be brought on board to carry out mass and energy balance computations and create the chemical procedure for sophisticated feedstocks.
