On the production side, standards for how companies identify the different features of an item (such as the shapes and size of a part or completion item) on the assembly line can make it easier for business to utilize algorithms from one factory to another, without needing to undergo pricey retraining efforts.
Patent defenses. Traditionally, in China, new innovations are quickly folded into the public domain, making it challenging for enterprise-software and AI gamers to understand a return on their large investment. In our experience, patent laws that safeguard intellectual home can increase financiers' self-confidence and bring in more financial investment in this area.
AI has the potential to reshape key sectors in China. However, among company domains in these sectors with the most valuable use cases, there is no low-hanging fruit where AI can be carried out with little extra investment. Rather, our research finds that unlocking optimal potential of this chance will be possible only with tactical investments and developments across a number of dimensions-with information, skill, innovation, and market collaboration being foremost. Interacting, business, AI players, and federal government can resolve these conditions and make it possible for China to catch the full value at stake.
